Me and My Friends are Apart of Something BIG!-change
October 28, 2009
This is probably the greatest way to start back posting. I have been busy lately working at >>revolution, doing college work, and even had a great/amazing time attending Catalyst this year. But the biggest thing I want to share in this post back, is that me and some friends are beginning to be a part of something BIG and we are going to create some change in a new way..
At Catalyst this year I learned about MicroFinance and how organizations are enabling everyday people from around the globe to help, other ordinary people from around the globe (sounds funny right?). Well, everyday people with a bit of extra cash, are able to give a “small loan” to those who are able to work, but dont have the resources, in poverty-stricken areas of the world. And as these people get the funds, they start a business, and then as they make profit, they pay you back so you can do it again.
So I decided to take ten bucks (which was given at Catalyst) and go in with some friends and sponsor someone. We are working together, everyone pitching in ten bucks, and are going to watch are bit of money effect someone’s: family, life, community, and country’s economy for the better. Although I haven’t made the decision on which organization to go through yet, but the cool thing is there is more than one. (i’ll link at the end of the post). But the cool thing is, that this is a new opportunity and a new way to help someone around the world, get out of poverty, and make a difference in their community by adding to their own economy. I am very excited to take on this endeavour, and if you would like to be a part with me and my friends, just shoot me an email, or you can check it out for yourself.. We are a apart of something BIG, and it is helping someone around the world, it is CHANGE.

Who you roll with?
February 16, 2009
Hallo all! I wanted to take a post and kind of showcase a few friends. These are the faces of the people that I have been able to sit with, laugh with, worship with, be real with, and share the scripture with. Feel free to take a moment and check them out or leave them a comment. I can’t promise that their pages/website/blogs are serious, or “world changing.” But I can guarantee that they will be themselves and are honest about it. Two are worship leaders, one is an aspiring English major, one is an aspiring journalist, one is just plain smart, and the other is my personal mentor. These friends of mine are the people I am able to wrestle with about modern Christianity, the scriptures, and life. Enjoi.
Who are the people you bounce ideas off of? Who are the people that you laugh with and discuss the deep things of life with? Who are those that wrestle the scripture with you?

>>Hallo. It is funny how I see other blogs that talk about things like Soap Operas and Pop culture get more hits than mine. It is a real humbling experience every time I log on wordpress and see the “hawt posts” and it is also one of those things… Anyways. I hope everyone had a very merry Christmas and had a great time enjoying family, friends, food, and experiencing the resurrected Christ. Personally, I enjoyed spending time with my family and visiting friends this past holiday. It meant more to me than any gift card or money. It was great to sit down to some great food and just hang around my family. It has become something that have greatly come to treasure. Of course it wasn’t perfect and some family members got a little quarrelsome, but when you stand in the middle of your family gatherings, don’t write them off even though they aren’t perfect. Enjoy them for what they are worth. Of course we didn’t choose to be in our families, but we can’t let anything come in the way of our relationships with family members to where we can’t even sit down to have a meal with them. I guess I am just trying to say, appreciate your family and stick close to them. A lot of things will try to make family seem unimportant, but don’t let it be unimportant. Make it a priority.
